Dennis Fox is a consultant with the Southern California Comprehensive Assistance Center, which is funded by the United States Department of Education. The center provides professional development and technical assistance to schools and school districts in an eight-county region in Southern California.
Dennis' work focuses on standards, assessment, and data analysis, and how they can improve instructional decision making in the classroom, school, and district. He works with teachers and administrators to provide them with user-friendly tools and strategies to create schools in which standards and data drive instructional decision making. In addition to his professional development work with teachers and administrators, Dennis consults with schools and districts, as well as state education departments and the U.S. Department of Education. He is also a frequent speaker at local, state, and national conferences.
Dennis' experience includes 25 years at the elementary school, middle school, and high school levels, serving as a teacher, counselor, assistant principal, and principal. Prior to joining the Comprehensive Assistance Center, he served as a consultant with the Center for School Improvement and Restructuring, in the Los Angeles County Office of Education.
